DESCRIPTION
Come and enjoy this 2.5 hour workshop getting creative and jewellery making. Craft your very own hammered sterling silver ring, whether as a gift for somebody or a treat for yourself.
The Ringsmiths team of jewellers will guide you through the process of making a ring using traditional goldsmithing techniques such as annealing, forging, soldering, and filing to name but a few. In this workshop you will have the option of making either a wide hammered band or two fine hammered stacking rings (as pictured). Over the course of the class you will have plenty of opportunity to practice your newfound skills, as demonstrated by Milena and Ros throughout.
There’ll be plenty of opportunity for one-to-one interaction with the jewellers during your session.
We offer gold plating as an optional extra which can be requested and paid for at the end of the workshop. Choose from yellow gold, rose gold or black rhodium plating for your finished ring(s) - prices range from £20 - £40. Please note this service takes 2.5 - 3 weeks and you will need to leave your ring(s) with us, which can then be collected or posted out.
Suitable for complete beginners with no previous jewellery making experience.
Participants must be 18 or over.
